Performing Arts Center of Rapid City

Entering its eighth season in operation, this vibrant arts center is a staple of the Black Hill’s performing arts scene. Housed inside Rapid City High School, the Performing Arts Center of Rapid City (PACRC) came about through collaboration with a coalition of performing arts non-profits, Rapid City Area Schools and the City of Rapid City. The PACRC is the home of four Coalition Member Organizations: Black Hills Community Theatre, Black Hills Symphony Orchestra, Rapid City Children’s Chorus, and Shrine of Democracy Chorus. This partnership allows the center to present over 75 high-quality performances by local performers every year.

Performances are held in either their 830 seat Historic Theater or the cozy 175 seat Studio Theater. In addition to shows produced by Coalition Member Organizations, the center also hosts numerous RCAS student performances, performances and benefit concerts by local non-profits, and performances by touring professional artists.

Their event calendar is available on their website www.performingartsrc.org, and tickets can also be purchased online.
